The Factory Manager will be responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. He shall be responsible for managing a team of workers and work closely with other departments to ensure that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
He shall be responsible for overall development, performance and maintenance of the factory’s activities to obtain the maximum efficiency, production, quality, service and profitability for the line of business.
➢ Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times.
➢ Coordinate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components for production.
➢ Monitor production and sales performance against targets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve production goals.
➢ Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards.
➢ Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished products to identify and address any quality issues or non-conformities.
➢ Implement corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve product quality and reliability.
➢ Coordinate with general manager and centralized finance function to develop annual budget, monitor periodic performance against budget and monitor key performance indicators.
➢ Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize sourcing, transportation, and warehousing of materials and components.
➢ Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
➢ Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents or incidents.
➢ Lead, motivate, and coach a diverse team of production supervisors, operators, technicians, and support staff to achieve production targets and performance goals.
➢ Foster a positive work environment characterized by open communication, teamwork, and employee engagement.
Master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field; additional professional certifications shall be an advantage.
➢ 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the steel industry, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business results.
