Job Title: Export Sales Manager

Location: Dammam, with the requirement for international travel
Position Overview:
The Export Sales Manager will head the expansion of our electrical equipment sales including transformers, switchgears, and related products into the export market. This role is responsible for the strategic development and execution of export initiatives, driving growth and increasing market share internationally. This position will work closely with product sales managers, leveraging their expertise without directly managing costing, tender preparation, pricing, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute a comprehensive export sales strategy for electrical equipment that aligns with the company’s main sales and marketing objectives.
- Cultivate and expand the customer base internationally, focusing on sustainable long-term relationships with foreign distributors, agents, and end-users.
- Collaborate with product sales managers to gather detailed product knowledge and ensure offerings are well-represented in export markets.
- Facilitate product adaptation for export markets, incorporating feedback from international clients and ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for international clients, providing exceptional service and detailed product information.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity in international markets to inform sales strategies and product development.
- Work with the marketing team to develop targeted promotional materials and campaigns for export markets.
- Attend and represent the company at international industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Ensure that all export activities are compliant with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and report on export sales performance against targets, offering insights and action plans to address any variances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferred with Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in sales, with specific expertise in the electrical equipment sector, including transformers and switchgears.
- Strong understanding of international trade, export regulations, and global electrical standards.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to meet business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage complex sales cycles.
