Job Overview:The Oracle Database Administrator at DeepSource Technologies is responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle databases. This role requires a thorough understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and security measures to support the organization's data needs effectively.Key Responsibilities:Database Installation & Configuration: Install and configure Oracle Database across various environments to support high availability, scalability, and performance requirements. Set up and configure Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other Oracle high-availability features. Install and configure database replication tools, including IBM InfoSphere CDC and similar tools, to ensure data consistency across environments. Database Administration: Manage Oracle database environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity. Perform regular patches, upgrades, and security updates in line with corporate standards. Performance Optimization & Monitoring: Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning for Oracle databases and replication tools. Use monitoring solutions to proactively manage database health and replication status, addressing potential issues before they affect production. Collaboration & Documentation: Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to meet deployment and data replication requirements. Document configurations, procedures, and best practices for database administration and replication tools.
