Expert Oracle Database Administrator - 6 months contract.

Job Overview:

The Oracle Database Administrator at DeepSource Technologies is responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle databases. This role requires a thorough understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and security measures to support the organization's data needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Installation & Configuration:

• Install and configure Oracle Database across various environments to support high availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Set up and configure Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other Oracle high-availability features.
• Install and configure database replication tools, including IBM InfoSphere CDC and similar tools, to ensure data consistency across environments.

Database Administration:

• Manage Oracle database environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity.
• Perform regular patches, upgrades, and security updates in line with corporate standards.

Performance Optimization & Monitoring:

• Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning for Oracle databases and replication tools.
• Use monitoring solutions to proactively manage database health and replication status, addressing potential issues before they affect production.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to meet deployment and data replication requirements.
• Document configurations, procedures, and best practices for database administration and replication tools.
