Overview We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join Western Area Pipelines Department. The Western Area Pipelines Department is responsible for transporting crude, gas, NGL, and product across several customers in west side of Saudi Arabia. Your primary role is to manage, organize and participates in major surveys such as Environmental Performance Assessment, Occupation Health Hazard Assessments, Comprehensive Environmental Health Assessment, Robotic Process Automations, Environmental Health surveys and actively seeks to resolve any findings from these surveys across the department.
Key Responsibilities As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Keeps up-to-date of all environmental issues that pertain to the organization, particularly any non-compliances that may have been identified.
Stays current with all applicable environmental regulations, standards, procedures, and guidelines as well as all Saudi Aramco environmental programs.
Responsible for resolving any items raised by Environmental Protection Department by creating an action plan, allocating relevant personnel to address required process as well as setting deadlines for recommendations and updates on our Environmental Health System.
Actively inspects, maintains records, reports, and conducts routine inspections of Department facilities for compliance per the Hazardous Waste Code, as well as coordinates and communicates their efforts and findings to EPD.
Provide corrective actions for any incompliance item and follow up with the related parties until full implementation is achieved.
Promotes sound waste management by Company employees and cooperate with EPD on the conduct of routine scheduled and unscheduled inspections of their facilities and waste storage areas.
Works to detect and correct improper environmental conditions and waste management violations.
Provides needed support to implement and maintain a departmental Hazard Material Communication Program.
Facilitates periodic internal audits to ensure all elements of the Corporate HAZCOM Program requirements have been met.
Provide class-room HAZCOM training for new employees.
Coordinates all Facility Environmental Management System related activities within the organization as appropriate, including the development of environmental objectives and indicators, tracking of performance and costs.
Review department Environmental projects proposal at various stages, provide comments for any environmental issues that will be affected by the project.
Minimum requirements
As the successful candidate you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have 8 years of experiences in environmental engineering including at least 5 in Oil and Hydrocarbon Industry.
Certification in Advanced Environmental field is preferred
