ROLE OVERVIEW
NEOM’s Entertainment and Cultural sector (E&C) requires an Asset Development Lead to assist in the development of all entertainment & cultural assets including but not limited to museums, theatres, multi-purpose venues, and related facilities. This role requires an individual with an understanding and passion for the cultural sector to support the design and delivery of assets that align with NEOM’s strategic vision.
The role will report to the Director of Culture and will be key to support the development of a world leading, programmatic and technically innovative cultural sector at NEOM.
REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY
- Relevant experience in cultural asset development, architecture, or related fields.
- Experience with landmark projects, particularly in the cultural and entertainment sectors.
- Familiarity with end-to-end project delivery and collaboration with architects and design teams.
- Engagement with stakeholders, including government bodies, investors, and cultural organizations.
- International project experience and knowledge of regulatory compliance in cultural asset development.
ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The responsibilities of the Asset Development Lead will include, but not be limited to:
Manage Asset Briefs
- Assist in managing and refining initial asset briefs for cultural projects
Master Schedule Delivery
- Support the delivery and tracking of the master schedule for sector-related assets, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s Plan of Work.
- Collaborate with architects on exterior and interior design elements of cultural assets
- Assist in the procurement process for necessary technical expertise in cultural asset development
- Provide support in preparing detailed specifications and scope-of-work documents for external contractors and consultants.
- Offer advisory support across the E&C sector and NEOM for the development of cultural assets
Policy and Strategy Development
- Develop and maintain procedures, policies, and strategies specific to the program and geographic area
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage in project planning with colleagues to understand stakeholder interests and work effectively in cross-departmental teams
Strategic Asset Placement
- Monitor the master plan to ensure the strategic placement of sector assets
Quality Standards
- Promote best practices and quality standards in asset development
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Basic project management skills, especially for large-scale cultural assets
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
- Basic understanding of procurement and contract management
- Strategic planning capabilities and a technical understanding of modern cultural facilities
- Proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability for emerging trends in culture and entertainment
- Self-driven, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality in all deliverables
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Degree in architecture, project management, or a related field
