Job Purpose

This Position exists to perfrom general purchasing activities efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.




Key Accountability Areas

1.    Responsible for handling defined projects, assigned by his Manager according to the department strategy plan.
2.    Obtain & Negotiate quotations from suppliers based on specification mentioned in PR.  
3.    Responsible for preparing Comparison sheets for items to be procured and complete the PO issuance cycle by placing the PO.
4.    Responsible for approving the PO and initiating payment as per his competency.
5.    Supervise a team of Purchase Engineers and Purchase Officers.
6.    Support Operation Section by coordinating with Project team for timely advance payment to suppliers.
7.    Responsible for cross checking of invoice from the order at the time of initiating any payment.
8.    After getting Release of shipment from PM, ensure timely delivery of quality product and help logistic section in this regard. 
9.    Responsible to give feedback to Commercial Officer in establishing the L/C in timely manner.
10.    Responsible to give feedback to accounts payable section to prepare Foreign Currency Statement on fortnightly basis. 
11.    Maintain an updated knowledge of KSA custom & clearance policy, administrative regulations and legal requirements that relate to the purchase goods  
12.    Review market, price, delivery conditions, and trends to determine present and future material availability. 
13.    Investigate complaints received on supplies/delivered material, and then takes appropriate actions to resolve identified problems.
14.    Work in cross functional team with logistics responsible for preparing draft & pre-Negotiating contracts/orders with Logistics providers.
15.    Searching for new & competent suppliers to develop a consolidated database to meet current and future needs.                                                                           
16.    Preparing Daily status reports of Purchase Request and discuss it with concerned manager on weekly     basis
17.    Responsible to contribute in achieving the department objectives.
18.    Responsible for implementing the QMS Polices & Procedures and reporting any Minor/Major non-conformity to his immediate manager.

•Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
•Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
•Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

•Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Quality:
•Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.  
Business Process Improvement (Effectiveness):
•Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:  
•Comply to related policy & procedures and work instructions.
Health & Safety:
•Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.




Academic Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
