Key Accountability Areas
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance of substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, relays, and protection systems.
- Monitor and manage the daily operations of substations to ensure uninterrupted power supply and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Analyze operational data to identify and address performance inefficiencies.
- Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and diagnostic assessments of substation systems.
- Ensure calibration and functionality of all protective relays and control systems.
- Document and report inspection findings, including potential risks or areas requiring attention.
- Support commissioning, startup, and integration of new substation projects.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams for the installation or upgrade of equipment.
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Ensure all operations comply with industry standards, such as IEC, IEEE, and local regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for personnel working on or around substation equipment.
- Participate in audits and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
Academic Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
