The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for planning, developing and implementing processes including but not limited to those associated with government-related documentation and prepare archiving system to retain and retrieve department information, including analyzing, referencing and recording and documentation, contracts, and variations in the relevant files to ensure on time delivery of requirements to the organization. This position provides regular updates and communications to senior management regarding any legislation that will impact the business.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with government agencies and all business partners.
Provides advice on regulatory and employment matters and managing all registrations and licenses.
Provides operational support to all legislative processes and ensure compliance to public policies and objectives.
Develops and implements improvement process for all immigration and labor records to be tracked and maintained through the established organization system
Develop and manages periodical review, and communicating Government relations policies and processes to ensure organization compliances.
Ensures to resolve immigration related issues in a timely manner
Ensures proper dissemination and keep the HR team informed of significant problems that may jeopardize the achievement of Company goals, and those are not being addressed adequately.
Facilitates and attend to employee queries regarding details of immigration formalities, and entitlements
Manages the processing of all immigration requirements in the most effective and efficient manner to expedite on boarding of new employees
Ensures to update relevant business areas with issues, risks, and statuses of immigration/government processes and provide relevant solutions in a timely manner.
Ensures immigration processes are completed in minimal time including Resident Permits, Drivers Licenses, Visas, CID procedures etc.
Oversees all the relevant expiry dates and ensure that all time-sensitive documents and licenses are renewed ahead of deadline to ensure full compliance and avoid fines.
Maintains employee files and documents relevant to immigration transactions.
Keeps abreast with current labor/ immigration laws and update the HR staff on any changes.
Extensive knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices is crucial for navigating complex employee relations issues and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effectively mediating conflicts, building relationships, and providing guidance to employees and managers.
Analytical skills are valuable for assessing employee feedback, identifying trends, and developing strategies to address underlying issues and improve employee relations.
Experience in conducting investigations, handling grievances, and implementing disciplinary procedures equips Employee Relations Managers with the expertise to manage employee relations matters effectively.
Leadership and strategic thinking abilities are important for providing direction, developing policies, and collaborating with senior management to create a positive and productive work environment.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
