We are looking for an experienced Electromechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the design industry, with a focus on electromechanical systems and proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM). You will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing electromechanical systems for complex projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and the latest technological advancements. Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement electromechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) in coordination with architectural and structural elements.
Utilize BIM software (e.g., Revit) to develop 3D models, ensuring integration with other design disciplines.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to ensure cohesive and efficient design outcomes.
Create detailed design documents, layouts, schematics, and technical reports for electromechanical systems.
Conduct simulations and analyses to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency of systems.
Coordinate with construction teams to provide technical support during project execution and resolve design-related issues on-site.
Review and approve design modifications to accommodate project-specific requirements or resolve issues.
Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
Manage design schedules, monitor project timelines, and meet delivery deadlines.
Attend client meetings, present design concepts, and discuss project updates and technical solutions.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and design team members.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in electromechanical design, with exposure to diverse building types (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).
Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD for electromechanical design.
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC).
Excellent understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Experience with energy-efficient design practices and sustainability principles.
Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize design issues.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and team interaction.
Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification.
LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable design principles.
Familiarity with other engineering software like Navisworks, Dynamo, or simulation tools.
Experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
