We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical QA/QC Engineer to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of all electrical work on a high-profile tunnel construction MEP fit-out project. The successful candidate will work closely with the PMC and consultant to ensure all electrical installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations, verifying compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and industry standards.
Oversee all quality assurance and quality control processes for electrical work, ensuring adherence to established procedures and protocols.
Collaborate with the construction and project management teams to address quality-related issues and provide technical guidance on-site.
Coordinate with the QAQC team to conduct formal site inspections and prepare quality documentation, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ITPs (Inspection Test Plans).
Ensure that all materials, equipment, and installations meet the project’s quality and safety standards.
Participate in project meetings with the PMC, consultant, and contractors to discuss project progress, quality matters, and any corrective actions.
Provide technical expertise to resolve any discrepancies, design issues, or installation problems related to electrical works.
Monitor project schedules and quality milestones to ensure timely completion of electrical inspections and testing.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on quality assurance and control for electrical installations.
At least 5 years of experience as a QAQC Engineer, preferably with a contractor or in infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of QAQC standards, electrical codes, and best practices for tunnel and MEP projects.
Familiarity with construction quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an eye for detail.
