Role Summary:
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a motivated and academically accomplished intern to join our equipment team at the MTSD located in Jeddah. This internship presents a unique opportunity for students to apply their knowledge of electrical engineering in a practical setting, working alongside our dedicated function partners and leadership team. The selected intern will play a pivotal role in providing electrical services, assisting in the development of innovative electronic solutions tailored to the diverse needs of our various functions, and analyzing existing processes to identify and implement opportunities for service efficiency improvement.
Your Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will span various aspects of electrical engineering and include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identifying Customer Requirements: Interns will work closely with internal and external customers to identify and understand their specific needs, ensuring that the solutions developed are tailored to meet these requirements effectively.
- Designing Systems and Products: Leveraging their academic knowledge and creative thinking, interns will contribute to the design of innovative electrical systems and products, aiming to address the identified customer needs and enhance service efficiency.
- Reading Design Specifications and Technical Drawings: Interns will be responsible for accurately reading and understanding design specifications and technical drawings. This skill is crucial for the successful development and implementation of electrical systems.
- Assembling, Evaluating, Testing, and Maintaining Electrical Equipment: The role involves hands-on work with electrical equipment, including assembling, evaluating its performance, conducting tests to ensure reliability and safety, and performing routine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Analyzing and Repairing Malfunctioning Electrical Equipment: Interns will diagnose issues with electrical equipment and perform necessary repairs, applying their problem-solving skills to restore functionality and prevent future malfunctions.
- Reading and Interpreting Blueprints, Diagrams, and Schematics: Interns will be expected to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics accurately. This capability is essential for constructing electrical systems that meet design specifications and customer expectations.
- Following Local Building (Workshop) Regulations: Compliance with local building and workshop regulations is a key responsibility. Interns must ensure that all work adheres to these standards, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- Educational Background: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree at a university. A strong academic foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices is required.
- Academic Performance: The candidate should have a strong academic record, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or 4.0 or higher on a 5.0 scale. This reflects the candidate's commitment to excellence and capability to uphold high academic standards.
- University Letter: Applicants are required to provide an official letter from their university along with their CV. This letter should endorse the student's application and confirm their current enrollment status and academic standing.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent collaboration skills are essential. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively across diverse organizations and teams, showcasing strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to contribute positively to team dynamics.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and oral) is mandatory.

- Electrical Systems Knowledge: A basic understanding and working with electrical systems.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: The ability at a basic level to diagnose and resolve issues with electrical systems effectively. Candidates should have a systematic approach to identifying problems and implementing solutions.
- Basic Safety: A foundational understanding of safety practices related to electrical engineering, including knowledge of regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Database Design: Skills in designing and managing databases relevant to electrical engineering, such as component inventories, system specifications, or maintenance records.
- Reporting Research Results: Basic in conducting research, analyzing findings, and effectively reporting results in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
- Basic in CAD (Computer-Aided Design): At a basic level with CAD software for designing electrical systems and components. Candidates should have a basic knowledge to utilize CAD tools to create detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
