Earthworks Lead
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Earthworks Lead to oversee and manage earthworks operations for our projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in earthworks, demonstrating a deep understanding of excavation, grading, and site preparation. This role requires expertise in managing large-scale earthworks projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead and coordinate all earthworks activities, including excavation, grading, and soil management. Supervise and direct earthworks teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Planning and Execution: Develop and implement detailed earthworks plans and schedules in collaboration with project managers and engineers. Ensure that earthworks operations align with project specifications, design requirements, and environmental regulations.

Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on earthworks techniques, equipment, and methods to optimize project outcomes. Review and approve technical drawings, soil reports, and site assessments.

Quality Assurance and Compliance: Monitor and maintain quality control throughout earthworks operations. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Resource Management: Manage earthworks equipment, materials, and resources effectively to minimize waste and reduce costs. Oversee the maintenance and repair of earthworks machinery and equipment.

Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions for earthworks teams.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all earthworks-related communications with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Address any issues or concerns related to earthworks operations promptly and effectively.

Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of earthworks activities, including progress reports, material usage, and equipment logs. Prepare and submit regular reports on earthworks performance and project status to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in earthworks, with a proven track record in managing large-scale earthworks projects.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with earthworks software and equipment. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and best practices.
