Serving most market segments, it operates over 1.5 million square feet of retail space and offers 45,000 items.Working as Drop Ship Category Manager,you will oversee the vendor relationship and performance management from beginning to end for vendors on the drop ship program. As the operational liaison between IT, vendors, service providers, and merchandising, you will manage the vendor selection, assortment selection, the onboarding process, day-to-day problem resolution, compliance reporting and identifying opportunities to grow the program. Also accountable for providing internal and external customer satisfaction/support and to maintain, develop and improve vendor performance, relationship and education.key AccountabilitiesAchieve onboarding timeline targets and optimized throughput of new vendors, including training new team members on onboarding process and guidelines, overseeing and assigning the onboarding of new vendors, and identifying ways to further optimize timelinesSelect and approve merchants, vendors, and drop ship providers including assortment, pricing, service level agreementsDevelop and maintain vendor compliance policy including SLAs and compliance chargebacks where/when appropriateSelect and approve the drop ship assortment including the review of category opportunities that align with company strategy, study the feasibility of items including cost, shipping, and market retail price competitivenessWork with merchants, vendors, and drop ship providers to drive drop ship strategy and maximize throughput to go live.Align with providers and tech to develop and test process through to the implementation of new platforms and enhancements.Work with tech teams to implement new carriers and providers; and problem solve issues that arise.Ensure seamless path to “go live” across multiple functions through vendor agreements, assortment data setup, carriers agreements, and technology readiness while ensuring critical timeline delays are proactively escalated.Continuously drive Drop Ship optimization through troubleshooting of common issues, vendor reporting and education through training and documentationknowledge , Skills , ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related field.Understanding of retail landscape, and “best practice” systems and functionality.Strong communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills.Minimum of 7 years experience in Drop Ship or e-Commerce operations department.Minimum of 7 years in retail or B2C role.Minimum of 7 years in commercial category management, preferably with a large marketplaceTechnical aptitude with web-based tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate to Advanced in Microsoft Excel).Understanding of business and ability to foresee and react to the impact of strategies prior to implementation.Demonstrated ability to successfully optimize processes; Excels in executing company goals and developing plans of action.Proven ability to provide sound business judgment and influence others to drive ideas and plans forwardAbility to work effectively with and present to individuals at all levels.Demonstrated success implementing and evolving operational processes within a highly dynamic and large scale e-commerce business backed by metrics and analytics.Demonstrated success recommending strategies backed by metrics and analytics.Ability to excel in a collaborative environment and inspire a strong sense of camaraderie, accountability, and high performance across teams.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary; comfortable with ambiguity.Demonstrate strong resource workload and capacity management skills.
