Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Business Performance
Directs the marketing team in producing marketing materials for all revenue opportunities as needed. Directs the development, production and implementation of all marketing strategies and related projects associated with Faena’s revenue and marketing objectives. • Partners with the Vice President (VP) of Sales and Marketing to develop the annual marketing plan to achieve both short and long-term revenue and marketing objectives. Supervises website development and updates for the property. Builds strategic Public Relations plans, targeted campaigns, and social media content to drive consumer awareness, support sales initiatives, and build broader brand awareness. Oversees and further develops crisis communications in accordance with Public Relations agency; and ensures all public information is developed and properly communicated to support the business. Focuses on showcasing and supporting the hotels internal clients (Food and Beverage, Spa, Special Events, Sales, District etc.) programs and promotions, across local, regional, national and international media and consumers. This role acts as the spokesperson for the hotel when internal partners are unavailable. Directs all marketing initiatives, projects and collateral production to ensure that sales and marketing objectives are achieved and that revenue opportunities are maximized. Prepares and administers the departmental budget. Develops marketing tools such as brochures, videos, presentations, promotional materials, direct mail and tradeshow graphics for sales and convention services. Develops internal cross-promotional marketing materials to maximize property wide revenue opportunities. Pursues likeminded brands for partnerships and collaborative campaign to generate PR opportunities/brand awareness Oversees media and influencer requests and executes with internal operations teams. Collaborates to optimize Faena’s online digital presence and oversees development of social media channels through establishing comprehensive, on-brand social media calendars. Collaborates to produce dynamic social media campaigns on the hotel's social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) and oversees responses to all online guest queries/complaints, media and influencer requests, as required. Works with advertising agencies to develop campaigns, as required. Plans and executes all photography and videography for earned, owned, and paid channels, ensuring digital content and locally produced collateral is aligned to brand standards. Ensures that hotel presence on all approved online distribution sites is up-to-date and aligned with brand standards. Includes supporting the E-Commerce and Revenue departments with OTA, meta, and luxury consortia profiles. Manages the hotel’s CRM database for direct marketing campaigns and ensures local creative is in synergy with corporate directives. Partners with the Creative Department to plan, execute and monitor all print, digital and web campaigns. Monitors activities of competitive hotels and industry trends Participates in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for marketing and communications. Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Develops and implements creative strategies for revenue enhancement. Provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to ensure high standards of performance and guest satisfaction are upheld. Maintains a deep understanding of the hotel's facilities, services, and amenities to offer tailored recommendations. Champions effective hiring, training, development, promotion, and continuous reinforcement of the marketing team. Manages the human resources within the division. Oversees recruitment and development of employees; hires, trains, empowers, coaches and counsels, performance, and salary reviews, resolve conflict through fair treatment policy. Partners with Human Resources to discipline and terminate, as appropriate.
Qualifications
2 to 5 years as a Director of Marketing or similar role in a 5-star property or similar establishment. Advanced written and verbal skills (bi-lingual a plus) Advanced knowledge of CRM tools and email marketing strategy/development (intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of SEO/SEM a plus) Advanced knowledge of all social media channels and scheduling tools Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiating, listening, analytical and conflict resolution skills Solid understanding of the creative process, with intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of Adobe Suite programs Solid understanding of project management, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, run team meetings and allocate resources. Strong mentorship and team management skills Self-organized with excellent time management skills Self-motivated Aptitude to perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions. Must possess strong communication and listening skills in both group and one-on-one situations, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills. Driven leader vulnerable to others’ talents and able to use collaboration to achieve the best results. Able to easily identify and utilize emerging trends and technology to generate revenue. Must exhibit an approachable, authentic and engaging demeanor, setting an example for all Team Members. Exhibits a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations. Demonstrates an exceptional environment of sincerity, warmth and fun for team members and guests.
