Miraval The Red Sea will introduce the wellness brand’s signature mindfulness-based wellness practices to a new corner of the world, empowering guests with tools and inspiration to find balance and support their emotional and mental wellbeing. Located on Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island, the central hub of the highly anticipated new hospitality development, The Red Sea Project, the new Miraval resort will pave the way bringing transformative wellness experiences and the largest spa in the Red Sea destination. The high-end luxury wellness resort is slated to open as part of phase one of the Red Sea development.
For this eagerly awaited new opening in Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a Director of Engineering to share our Vision – to create the most imaginative, authentic and meaningful wellness experiences. Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Engineering will have the momentous task of working with design services and the ownership team to ensure a smooth and proper handover of the pre-opening property.
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the division in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Director of Engineering is responsible to ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition. In addition, ensuring the property’s adherence to the company and property’s sustainability goals.The Director of Engineering will drive strategic capital improvement projects in collaboration with the other departments.
·Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Director of Engineering role.
· Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or building/facilities management.
·Resort pre-opening experience is a must.
·Experience in managing properties in remote resort setting and is able to adapt to its challenges.
·Has an eye for detail and quality ensuring the property is at its best at all times
·Highly analytical and has exceptional problem-solving skills
·Has a passion for sustainability, and a stickler for safety and compliance
·Ability to prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and provide recommendations to senior management and different departments.
·Strong ability to formulate and articulate strategies and data analytics to various stakeholders.
·Proven track record in driving business performance, managing budgets, and KPI’s
