Director Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and shape technology transformation programmes across Travel & Hospitality and Government sectors in KSA
• Guide architecture, technical design, and development, providing expertise in the latest engineering methods and processes
• Drive business development, cultivate client relationships, and deliver compelling presentations to C-level stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership for multidisciplinary, international teams
• Partner with industry leaders to solve business problems through digital solutions
• Drive KSA business growth by implementing Publicis Sapient-wide propositions
• Develop engineering leaders and be accountable for people growth and engineering transformation
• Ensure quality and consistency in engineering delivery, solution choice, and execution
• Build KSA engineering capability, partnering with various Centres of Excellence
• Support client account engineering leads and build engineering capacity for revenue growth

Your Skills and Experience

• Seasoned technology leader with strong background in engineering and consulting roles
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams of 100+ in size
• Expertise in AI, Cloud Native Architectures, and Modern data implementations
• Track record of operating at executive level (e.g., CTO, CIO)
• Excellent client pitching and presentation skills
• Strong academic background in a relevant discipline
• Industry knowledge of key T&H and KSA Government sectors (e.g., Smart Cities, Aviation & Hospitality)
• Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale engineering transformation projects using contemporary technologies and methodologies
• Proficiency in various technologies including Java, JavaScript, DevOps/Automation, Microservices, Cloud platforms, and Big Data / Machine learning platforms
• Openness to travel as part of the role
