Digital Applications Lead
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Digital Applications Implementation Lead to join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) under the Liquid to Chemicals (LTC) Program Development.
PMO is responsible for overseeing and supporting all LTC program projects with the objective to ensure meeting mandates, milestones, and deliverables to meet the task objectives accordingly. In addition, oversee the implementation of project governance and its alignment with all stakeholders.
Proven track record consultancy in leading the development of digital platforms within the project management industry to create a comprehensive blueprint and cloud based digital Platforms for a mega project portfolio program.
This role is pivotal in translating the architectural blueprints into a functional, integrated digital ecosystem. This role will focus on leading the practical execution of the digital platform strategy, bridging the gap between design and operational reality. You will be responsible for driving implementation, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless integration of diverse digital applications within a complex mega project environment.
This role is also focused on market survey/shortlisting of candidate digital platforms’ vendors, market survey/shortlisting of platforms integrators vendors, and developing RFPs, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Oversee the practical implementation of the digital platform and integration technology strategy, ensuring alignment with the architectural vision.
- Drive the deployment and configuration of selected digital platforms, including Digital Twin, AWP, and related modules.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the implementation team, providing guidance and support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for platform vendors and integrators, managing relationships and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Coordinate with program stakeholders, including PMCs and EPCs, to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of digital solutions.
- Ensure the practical application of Digital-Twin, AWP, and Class Library governance frameworks across all project portfolio levels.
- Oversee the implementation of data analytics and business intelligence tools, leveraging AI/ML technologies.
- Ensure the implementation of the data governance framework, and the data lifecycle management policies.
- Develop and manage detailed implementation plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Monitor platform and integration performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Work closely with cloud security and network architects to ensure the proposed architecture aligns with cybersecurity mandates.
- Coordinate the data collection, storage, processing, and usage, according to the high-level guidelines.
- Develop and execute the platform ecosystem deployment roadmap with phased implementation plans.
- Lead the implementation of the RFPs that were created for the platform ecosystem.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, Information Technology (IT), Digital Transformation (DT), or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience, with 8+ years focused on leading the implementation and deployment of project management digital platforms.
- Proven track record of successfully managing the implementation of digital platforms in complex mega-projects.
- Strong practical experience with relevant software and platforms, including AI/ML, AR/VR/AdR, ERP, SAP, Microsoft Power BI, Digital Twin, AWP, and IIoT.
- Experience with project controls, scheduling, HSE, and procurement.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing various cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
- Demonstrated experience in the practical application of virtualization and containerization technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud integration tools and techniques.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and leading implementation teams.
- Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop clear and concise technical documentation and presentations.
- Fluency in English and Arabic; additional language skills are a plus.
