As the Data Engineering Manager, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to ensure our data platform meets the company's evolving needs. Your leadership will be critical in setting a technical vision for the team while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, ensuring their professional development and high performance.
• Define and execute the data engineering roadmap, aligning with product and business goals.
• Design, implement, and optimize scalable data architectures and ETL pipelines to support real-time and batch processing needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data Science, Engineering) to ensure data availability, quality, and usability for analytics, reporting, and machine learning models.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Drive continuous improvement in data infrastructure to enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex data-related issues, ensuring timely resolutions and maintaining system integrity.
• Provide strategic input on emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve data operations.

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong expertise in designing and managing data pipelines, ETL frameworks, and real-time data processing systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Deep knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and data warehousing solutions (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Proven experience in managing data security, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performance teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, product-driven environment with competing priorities.
• Previous experience in e-commerce, product-focused, or consumer-facing environments is a plus.
