We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to manage and oversee all release activities within our core banking system transformation. The ideal candidate will develop release roadmaps, manage release milestones, and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and timely delivery. The Release Manager will also drive automation initiatives, define controls for change management, and monitor release activities to ensure compliance with the bank’s standards, while minimizing disruptions during Go-Live.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Release Roadmap Development:
    Develop a detailed release roadmap highlighting milestones, deliverables, and timelines, in consultation with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the overall program plan.
  • Single Point of Contact for Release Activities:
    Act as the single point of contact for all release activities, coordinating with the Change Management team, Infrastructure team, Development team, QA team, and vendors to ensure smooth integration and timely delivery.
  • Environment Management:
    Define, set up, and manage different requisite environments (e.g., Development, SIT, UAT, Staging, Production) to ensure proper synchronization and version control.
  • Risk Mitigation & Issue Resolution:
    Identify risks and obstacles in release activities and take steps toward their mitigation. Escalate issues to relevant teams for timely resolution.
  • Change Management Process:
    Define controls for establishing a robust Change Management process to manage scope, code, configuration, and release changes, ensuring all changes are approved and tested before deployment.
  • Automation Initiatives:
    Drive automation initiatives to streamline Build, Testing, and Deployment processes, utilizing appropriate CI/CD tools for seamless integration and delivery.
  • Release Readiness & Reviews:
    Conduct release readiness reviews and maintain release checklists to ensure all testing activities (e.g., Functional, Performance, Security) are fully completed and signed off by the bank before deployment.
  • Cutover Planning:
    Plan and develop a comprehensive cutover plan for all releases to be deployed in the production environment, along with respective rollback strategies.
  • Go-Live Monitoring:
    Monitor all Go-Live activities to ensure that business operations are not disrupted or impacted.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:
    Prepare and communicate regular updates on the progress of all releases to stakeholders. Provide post-release reports, metrics, lessons learned, and improvement measures.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Requirements:
    Ensure all releases satisfy the requisite compliance, regulatory, and audit requirements. Maintain release documentation for audit purposes.
  • Post-Implementation Support:
    Provide post-implementation support by monitoring the new core banking platform after it goes live. Work with support teams to resolve any issues promptly and ensure the smooth operation of the platform.
