Job Purpose
The Projects Mechanical Coordinator is responsible for providing credible, proactive and efficient support in coordination of all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards; coordinating with multiple teams, monitoring progress, mitigating risks, and maintaining strong contractor relations to ensure successful project delivery; supporting Tasnee’s investments.
Role responsibilities:
- Facilitate the site execution activities of assigned construction projects, ensuring alignment with safety, schedules and projects quality objectives, in full coordination with Projects Managers
- Coordinate construction activities at site in compliance with the rules and regulations
- Communicate with Project Managers and Construction contractors to promptly address deviations and avoid delays.
- Understand the project scope, and verification on the constructability and accessibility to the area
- Assist in reviewing and maintaining detailed construction schedules, tracking progress, explore potential delays, and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare daily/weekly schedule updates, adjusting resources as needed to maintain project momentum.
- Support allocation of construction resources (equipments, labor) to optimize efficiency across plant sites.
- Monitor and adjust resource utilization to meet evolving project needs while minimizing costs, in coordination with Project Managers
- Inspect and preserve the equipment’s and material as required and explained by the suppliers
- Compile progress reports for projects engineers/superiors, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and organize technical documentation (inspection reports, compliance records, testing certificates, etc.)
- Identify construction risks/hazards, and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with the project engineer
- Conduct site risk assessments, and participate in review of JSAs, Construction Methods, and Permit Documentations
- Ensure compliance with EHSS standards, conducting quality/safety audits and monitoring construction Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
- Monitor contractor/subcontractor activities and report performance deviations
- Assist in resolving disputes and on-site challenges to maintain a productive work environment.
- Conduct construction contractor performance evaluations and implement improvement plans if needed.
Minimum Qualification:
- Technical Diploma in related field.
Minimum Experience:
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in construction site coordination, preferably in large-scale industrial or petrochemical projects.
Job Specific Skills:
- MS Office Suite (Advanced).
- Project Management Software (MS Project).
- Construction MoS review and verification.
- Construction JSA (Job Safety Analysis) Review & Understanding.
- EHSS (Environment; Health; Safety; Security) & QA/QC compliance.
- Engineering Drawings Reading & Documentation management (Intermediate).
