Contract Manager
Contract Manager You as a Contract Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ensuring the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standards and guidelines.
Your responsibilities
Ensuring the portfolio of contracts in the business following contracts and claims management methodologies in accordance with internal standards and guidelines. Tender preparation and negotiations are reviewing and commenting on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions, developing contract strategy based on Hitachi Energy policies, customer requirements, and the overall execution strategy considering risk, pricing, scope, and schedule. Contract execution (from project kick-off to project closure) as identifying the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlights areas of potential risk. Providing the project management team with a summary of the key terms and conditions and flow down strategy to suppliers or subcontractors. Ensuring timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts (i.e. payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees, etc.). Reporting on regular basis to management critical claims and attend and present claims identified as critical for the business. Contract closure that verifying that both parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding. Assesses success of the contract and determines if there are any lessons learned for future contracting. Documents and communicates to all appropriate parties any deficiencies found as part of the closeout process. Contract and claims that establishing and enforces standard change methodologies in portfolio of contracts to identify changes and quantify the additional time and compensation due to Hitachi Energy per the contract, defines approval requirements and communicates changes to the customer. Enforcing and defending Hitachi Energy contractual interests against customer and suppliers during the whole of a project life cycle, including monitoring and assessment of changes and deviations, as well as defending and enforcing claims. In concert with Legal, develops the negotiation strategy and supports negotiations. Supports Legal handling formal dispute resolution, litigation and arbitration and notifying and liaises with Legal to report major claims and keeps legal updated of any. Your background
A bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required. Minimum 10 years of experience is preferred. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
