ROLE OVERVIEW
The Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This position requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a commitment to quality and safety throughout the construction process.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Oversight
- Direct and manage construction projects from initial conception through to completion, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s vision and standards.
Budgeting and Scheduling
- Develop comprehensive project plans that include budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet deliverables efficiently.
Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor all onsite and offsite construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Team Coordination
- Lead and coordinate the efforts of construction workers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative work environment.
Resource Management
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and equipment, managing inventory effectively to optimize project performance.
Performance Monitoring
- Review and assess work progress daily, providing timely feedback and support to address any issues.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed internal and external reports regarding project status, challenges, and milestones achieved.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate potential challenges and implement solutions to mitigate risks and ensure smooth project execution.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, secure necessary permits and licenses for construction activities.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of construction quality and ensure the use of best practices and techniques.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 7+ Proven experience in construction management, particularly in large-scale projects.
- In-depth understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Expertise in building products, construction details, and adherence to relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction management software tools and applications.
- Strong strategic planning abilities and a comprehensive understanding of project dynamics.
- Effective conflict resolution and crisis management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and human resources management capabilities.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Experience with mega projects in the GCC region is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
