About the job Construction Engineering Manager

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement the construction engineering strategy for the project.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and construction phases of the project.
  • Ensure that all construction engineering activities comply with project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of construction engineers and technical professionals.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Review and approve construction engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
  • Ensure that all construction engineering solutions meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team from a construction perspective.
  • Identify and mitigate potential construction engineering risks and issues.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and control construction engineering budgets and expenditures.
  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization to achieve project goals.
  • Evaluate and select construction engineering vendors and subcontractors.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Address any deviations or defects promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in all construction engineering activities
  • Solid BIM knowledge required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, Civil or related field). A Civil Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction engineering management, with a focus on large-scale industrial projects.
  • Proven experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, particularly electric vehicle (EV) production facilities is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
