Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented General Manager to lead the operations of a luxury hotel (based in Makkah). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing all aspects of a hotel's operations, from guest services to financial performance, while ensuring the highest standards of excellence. The General Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the hotel.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and staff, fostering a collaborative and service-driven work culture.
- Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service, addressing guest concerns, and anticipating customer needs.
- Financial Management: Manage hotel P&L, budget forecasts, and financial planning to achieve or exceed revenue targets. Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to implement strategies for driving occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and overall market competitiveness.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all hotel operations comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health, safety, and security protocols.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term business strategies, identifying growth opportunities while adapting to market trends and guest preferences.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with ownership, key stakeholders, and partners, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement environmentally sustainable practices in line with corporate social responsibility goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5-10 years of hotel management experience, with at least 3 years in a General Manager or equivalent leadership role in a luxury or upscale hotel.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of hotel management software (e.g., Opera, HotSOS) and revenue management systems.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
