The Communication System engineer works on state-of-the-art communication systems involving the design, simulate, prototype, fabricate, productize, and test process. Appling systems engineering processes to capture the requirements, develop various baselines and define verification and validation criteria for the systems.
1. Lead, build and mentor Communications system group in PSDSARC.
2. Initiate project for the Communications systems group by writing and presenting technical proposals in front of the TSB (technical steering board) of the center.
3. Participate in designing, analyzing, simulating, assembling, fabricating, modeling, verifying, prototype, productize and testing (lab/field) prototypes of communications
systems developed during course of various projects.
4. Enable team to develop datalink solutions for UAV platforms based on latest advancements in domain of digital communications, e.g., MIMO, beamforming.
5. Lead the effort on satellite communication projects for mobile or fixed platforms like microsatellite, VSAT, VSAT-on-the-move, etc.
6. Help the team develop advanced tactical secure communication solutions, both hardware and software, for the armed security forces.
7. Lead the team to investigate and implement different Jam-resistant, cognitive, MANET and MIMO communication technologies to build prototypes and product solutions
for the armed forces
8. Lead the team to develop software-defined-radios to provide adaptive, flexible and secure communications
9. Lead the team to develop wireless sensor network-based solutions for situational awareness in battlefield or in a given area.
