Commercial Analytics & Insights Director
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Commercial Analytics & Insights Department activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the Department’s mandate and identify improvement opportunities that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures as well as coordinate the implementation and administration of the operations strategic plan and facilitates enterprise-wide project management to operationalize the delivery of strategic and organizational goals
You will be responsible for
Contributing to the design and implementation of the Sector’s strategy and roadmap by providing function-specific inputs
Establishing and implementing the Department’s operational plans in support of the Sector’s overall strategic plan and KPIs
Preparing the Operation Department annual budget and participate in the Division’s budgeting cycle and process
Utilizing and managing the Operations Department’s budget effectively, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
Investigating and proposing implementing strategies that result in positive financial impact for STA and mitigate financial and operational risks
Developing and implementing a comprehensive commercial analytics strategy aligned with business objectives
Leading the development and deployment of robust analytical models and reporting tools
Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of commercial data across all sources
Analyzing complex commercial data to uncover hidden trends, patterns, and opportunities
Conducting predictive analytics to forecast future performance and inform strategic decisions
Developing data-driven insights on market dynamics, customer behavior, competitor activity, and channel effectiveness
Translating complex data into compelling and actionable stories for senior leadership and stakeholders
Proposing improvements to Department’s policies, and ensure the implementation of procedures and controls across all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results
Monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
Stimulating subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement
Managing, guiding and assisting direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
Participating in identifying and recruiting key talent for Commercial Analytics & Insights Department
Promoting a high-performance working environment embracing STA’s values
Building and maintaining solid relations with externals stakeholders such as governmental entities and consultants to serve STA’s best interest
Providing assistance across the organization and support peers when needed to perform their duties
Approving reports and presentations related to Commercial Analytics & Insights Department activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making
Performing other activities as and when required
You will need
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
At least 10 years of experience in Commercial within Tourism / Hospitality industry or other relevant fields
