AtkinsRealis are currently looking for experienced Commercial/Contracts Manager to join our team to work on newly awarded projects across varying sectors and various locations within KSA. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team on high profile projects within in KSA.


Leadership


  • Coordinate the activities of the Cost & Contract team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the Cost and Contracts Management Guidelines.


  • Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to overcome functional challenges and meet departmental goals.


  • Serve as a role model to other department employees by ensuring awareness and commitment to RUA vision, mission, values, fundamentals, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance.


Commercial/Contracts Management


  • Provide contractual, financial, and commercial support when needed for the Cost & Contract Director and Delivery function to ensure efficient delivery of all departmental goals and development projects.


  • Manage and monitor overall commercial performance of Contracts and projects to maximize efficiency and valuefor-money on all contracts and projects.


  • Work closely with Cost & Contracts Director to prepare and revise information regarding reports related to cost control and cost management to contribute to budget management.


  • Develop a high level of understanding related to construction and development issues, and work with the construction team on developing proper techniques and solutions to enhance project performance.


  • Provide guidance on bid and tender documentations and give recommendations regarding commercial policies and procedures.


  • Review and assess all the contracts and identify commercial risks and opportunities to protect RUA’s interest.


  • Ensure that all the risks are properly identified and addressed prior to the submissions of RFQs, RFPs, bid and tender documentations.


  • Provide support when needed for construction and contracts functions in post-tender pre-contract negotiations.


  • Support construction and project management during sub-contracting processes and phases, assist in initial scope meeting review, develop subcontract scopes of work, distribution, and execution processes.


  • Design a clear filing system to ensure a coherent document structure, and supervise onsite document and record filing, management, and maintenance.


  • Maintain the electronic and hard copy archiving of contract papers by managing the examination of documents submitted for archiving.


  • Ensure documents are distributed to concerned project parties, when necessary, to maintain alignment with relevant stakeholders.


  • Collaborate with the appropriate departments to oversee the project contract administration process as well as contract modifications such as revisions, extensions, and terminations.


  • Support in negotiations of claims, variations, changes, and disputes with contractors in collaboration with Legal Department and others as required.

  • Interface with the project team, internal departments, and external vendors on matters such as cost, performance, progress assessment, payments, reporting, trends, and change orders.


  • Monitor contractors’ performance to ensure all contractual requirements are met through reviewing and approving all payments/ claims for contractors and suppliers and ensuring that these are within approved budgets.


  • Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.


  • Ensure alignment with the Project Management team on project contract administration needs, objectives, and requirements.


  • Coordinate with Legal Affairs & Compliance department to formalize contracts.


  • Ensure communications between RUA and contractors are consistent with terms and conditions in agreements.

  • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.


  • Prepare accurate and timely functional deliverables and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

  • Apply health, safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the functional systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
