Civil Engineering - Bridges Dams and Lake (Saudi Arabia)

We are currently in search of a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be engaged in various civil engineering projects that contribute significantly to infrastructure development within the region.

Your responsibilities will include designing, analyzing, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals. Key Responsibilities

• Review civil engineering design packages (bridges, viaducts, culverts, retaining walls, hydraulic structures, and other civil structures) across the client’s project portfolio to ensure compliance with the client’s procedures and guidelines, as well as local and international engineering codes and standards.
• Address technical queries regarding the interpretation and use of the client’s, local, and international structural engineering codes and standards.
• Produce technical reports and recommendations as required.
• Plan and manage civil engineering tasks as instructed by/in coordination with management.
• Help maintain a database of current engineering codes and standards on the client’s portal.
• Review technical aspects of applications for deviations from the client’s Plan of Work and advise management on the suitability of documentation for approval.
• Review and continually update the client’s procedures, guidelines, and manuals based on operational requirements and the technical needs and strategies of the client’s departments and sectors.
• Interact with local and international code authorities and institutions such as SBC, IBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC, AASHTO, AREMA, etc.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners as required to ensure that all reviews are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
• Make presentations to management and other departments and sectors.
• Lead and participate in technical workshops for the client’s employees.
• Support team members to effectively improve team performance.
• Help create a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of civil engineering structures, their stability, foundations, and load supporting systems.
• Excellent understanding of the analysis and performance of civil structures under various loading conditions with a specific emphasis on seismic application.
• General knowledge and orientation in the latest trends in civil engineering, innovation, technology, and construction techniques.

Skills

• Proficiency in English (required)
