ROLE OVERVIEW
The Chief of Staff - People will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer by driving strategic initiatives and acting as a liaison between the CHRO and other internal/external stakeholders. This role requires a strategic approach to communication and engagement, ensuring that stakeholders are informed, involved, and supportive of the CHRO’s initiatives.
They will need to consistently demonstrate problem solving and presentation skills with a deep understanding of HR operations and corporate strategy as they are responsible for developing and presenting advice and updates to the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) and others. They will also work closely with the People Executives to ensure alignment across all functions in executing the HR vision and demands from the CHRO.
REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Chief of Staff - People's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with the CHRO to align HR strategies with overall company objectives by analyzing stakeholders’ needs, interests, and influence to prioritize engagement strategies.
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans tailored to different stakeholder groups, including executive committees.
- Develop, draft and present Board papers to support recommendations and decision
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular communication and meetings.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and updates between the CHRO and other leaders, departments, and external partners.
- Prepare materials, presentations, and reports for leadership meetings, board presentations, and other key stakeholder interactions.
- Manage the dissemination of information, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Work closely with internal teams, including communications, project management, and legal, to ensure stakeholder interests are aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify and address potential conflicts or issues with stakeholders proactively.
- Mediate disputes or misunderstandings, ensuring that resolutions are in the best interest of both the stakeholders and the organization.
Strategic Advisory and Support
- Collaborate with the CHRO to align HR strategies with overall company objectives.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior HR leaders, facilitating collaboration across HR functions (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, People Operations, Strategy & Planning, Digital).
- Provide advice and recommendations on HR issues and initiatives that require the attention of the CHRO, including making sense of complex and ambiguous information to present solutions in an understandable and summarized manner.
- Assist in the development and execution of key HR initiatives and action plans, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
- Analyze trends, data, and feedback to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Lead special projects and provide project management support as required across multiple HR initiatives.
- Able to manage time effectively to prioritize and hold themself and others accountable to meet commitments.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in executive management advisory and support
- Strong Human Resources experience in a leadership or consulting capacity
- Advanced MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Operates as a recognized expert to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee to achieve outcomes
- Undertakes activities to efficiently meet objectives
- Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
