Foreground is partnering with a leading retail and distribution company in Riyadh to hire a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). As part of its strategic growth and market leadership ambitions, the company is seeking a highly experienced CMO to lead brand strategy, customer engagement, and digital transformation. This role requires a forward-thinking executive with a proven ability to develop and execute large-scale marketing strategies, optimize omnichannel presence, and drive sustainable business growth. Role Overview The CMO will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive marketing initiatives to strengthen the companys brand, increase customer acquisition and retention, and ensure alignment with commercial objectives. The role requires expertise in retail marketing, e-commerce, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Brand Development
Develop and execute a long-term marketing strategy that supports business growth and brand differentiation.
Strengthen the companys market positioning and competitive advantage through data-driven insights and strategic branding.
Lead the integration of brand identity, customer experience, and corporate communications to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure brand impact, customer engagement, and marketing ROI.
Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Growth
Oversee the companys digital transformation strategy, ensuring the seamless integration of digital and traditional marketing channels.
Drive e-commerce growth initiatives, including online marketplace presence, direct-to-consumer strategies, and digital advertising.
Implement customer segmentation, data analytics, and personalization strategies to enhance marketing effectiveness.
Optimize SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, and paid digital campaigns to increase visibility and engagement.
Customer Acquisition & Retention
Develop targeted customer acquisition strategies using advanced data analytics and performance marketing.
Lead customer loyalty programs to drive retention and long-term brand advocacy.
Ensure marketing strategies align with consumer behavior trends, industry shifts, and emerging market opportunities.
Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with sales, product, and distribution teams to ensure marketing efforts drive commercial success.
Align marketing campaigns with sales objectives, ensuring seamless execution and measurable impact.
Oversee market research, consumer insights, and demand forecasting to inform business decisions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and strategic execution.
Manage agency relationships, vendor partnerships, and external marketing collaborations to maximize efficiency.
Communicate marketing performance, strategies, and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Key Qualifications
10+ years of senior marketing leadership experience, ideally in retail, FMCG, or distribution sectors.
Proven expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, e-commerce, and customer experience management.
Strong understanding of consumer insights, data analytics, and omnichannel strategies.
Experience leading large-scale marketing budgets and optimizing return on investment (ROI).
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic alignment.
MBA or relevant advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
