Chief Commercial Officer

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the identification, securing, and managing of sponsorship and partnership opportunities, developing relationships with corporate entities, negotiating sponsorship agreements, and ensuring that sponsors receive the agreed-upon benefits and exposure & drive client’s relationship management and plans.
• Manage the league’s commercial assets, including branding, merchandising, and licensing, to create new revenue streams.
• Monitor the negotiation and management of broadcasting and media rights, includes securing broadcast deals with television networks and digital platforms, as well as managing relationships with media partners to maximize the league’s exposure and reach.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new revenue-generating opportunities.
• Monitor the utilization of image rights and develop its sales include players image sales and investment.
• Oversee merchandising and licensing initiatives, managing the production and distribution of merchandise, licensing arrangements with vendors to create and sell licensed branded products.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of senior leadership experience in the commercial 7 marketing, preferably in the sports industry.
• Proven track record of negotiating and securing lucrative sponsorship and media rights deals.
• Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop strategic plans.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
