A Day in the LifeThe Business Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day Matching & Uploading division, ensuring operational efficiency, managing team performance, and contributing to the achievement of strategic goals. This role requires coordinating across departments, monitoring key processes, and driving improvements in business operations to meet company objectives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Operational Management: to supervise and coordinate daily business operations for M&U (Matching & Uploading) division. Ensure business processes align with organizational objectives and compliance requirements. Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for process optimization or improvement.
- Team Leadership & Performance: to lead, train, and motivate the team to meet and exceed operational targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for continuous improvement, growth and development. Manage scheduling, workload distribution, and task prioritization to ensure efficient team operations.
- Process Optimization & Efficiency: to analyse operations data and identify trends and drive improvements. Implement best practices, automation tools, and process redesign initiatives to enhance efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline cross-functional workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Communication & Coordination: to act as a liaison between upper management and operational teams to ensure alignment and transparency. Facilitate communication across departments to ensure seamless operations. Prepare and present reports on key metrics, providing operational insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Technology & Tools: to oversee the use of operational software, Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other tools. Recommend and support the implementation of technology upgrades where needed. Ensure data accuracy and support data-driven decision-making.
- Risk Management & Compliance: to Identify risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate operational challenges. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Commercial Finance or a related field (master’s preferred).
- 5 to 7 years of experience in business operations or a supervisory role.
- Strong background in operations management and process improvement.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office, and business analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
