Job Purpose
The Business Development Specialist at Alfanar Building Systems is responsible for identifying growth opportunities within the real estate and construction sectors, optimizing strategic marketing initiatives, and driving new business development. This role requires a proactive and strategic professional with 4 to 8 years of experience, capable of conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and fostering strong relationships to expand the company’s footprint in the industry.
Key Accountability Areas
Market Research and Industry Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the real estate and construction industries.
- Analyze market dynamics to understand the needs and preferences of clients and investors.
- Prepare detailed reports and forecasts to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
Lead Generation and Client Acquisition:
- Identify and qualify potential clients through various channels, including networking, industry events, and digital marketing efforts.
- Develop a robust pipeline of leads and manage the sales funnel to ensure a steady flow of new business opportunities.
- Utilize CRM tools to track and manage customer relationships and sales activities.
Relationship Management and Client Retention:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the real estate and construction sectors.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance their projects.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to foster repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Sales Strategy and Proposal Development:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the real estate and construction markets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and sales pitches to potential clients.
- Work with internal teams to develop competitive pricing strategies and contract negotiations.
Networking and Strategic Partnerships:
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the company’s network and identify potential business opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships with key industry players, such as contractors, developers, and real estate agents, to enhance the company’s market presence.
- Explore joint venture opportunities and partnerships to expand service offerings and geographic reach.
Reporting and Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics related to business development activities, such as sales growth, market share, and client acquisition.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on market trends, sales performance, and potential growth areas.
- Use data-driven insights to refine business development strategies and improve sales outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including project management, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of contracts and projects.
- Provide market feedback to product development and marketing teams to inform service offerings and promotional strategies.
- Work with the operations team to ensure that client expectations are met during project delivery.
Role Accountability
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the real estate and construction industries.
- Strong knowledge of market trends, client needs, and the competitive landscape in the construction sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
