Biomedical Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized coordinated care, and support for patients and families.
• Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
• Inspects and installs medical and related technical equipment
• Carry out daily round of various Departments to check the status of biomedical equipment on site as group member.
• Repair & maintenance of Biomedical Equipment’s.
• Follow policies & procedures set by management Biomedical Unit.
• Safety test medical equipment and the hospital's structural environment to ensure electrical and mechanical safety.
• Consults with medical and scientific staff to determine whether equipment is functioning properly take corrective action when necessary.
• Carryout PPM & calibration according to JCIA/CIBAHI as per scheduled plan.
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities
• Carryout inspections & commissioning of newly inducted biomedical equipment’s.
• Perform safety testing, preventive maintenance and repairs on medical technology

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of an advanced Diploma in medical equipment maintenance or Medical Electronics Technology.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in medical Technology.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS:

• Excellent knowledge of oral and written English, MS-Office

COMPETENCE:

• Accountable for overall Operation of Biomedical Engineering Department.
