MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

Performs entry-level professional business support/administrative work, gradually increasing in level of difficulty and responsibility as on-the-job/formal training is received.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of entry-level duties and assists higher-level personnel in research and analysis related to areas such as administrative regulations, policies, processes, procedures, systems, methods, reports, and forms, while learning the fundamental structure, and operations associated with an administrative office in administrative services, academic affairs, or student services.
Participates in analytic studies by conducting routine research, identifying samples, assembling and compiling data in well-defined areas related to administrtive regulations, policies, procedures, systems, methods, reports, and forms.
Applies basic statistical analysis techniques or, with detailed instructions, more advanced statistical techniques in analyzing data.
Assists in writing instructions, procedures, and manuals to describe and improve administrative, technology, and operational methods and systems.
Assists in providing technical support and training to departmental staff on business, technology, and operational activities.
Fully utilizes the capabilities and functions of standard office software applications such as data management, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing in completing assigned projects.
Prepares reports, presentations, operational documents and correspondence containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content related to business and operational activities subject to review and editing by higher-level staff members.
