الوصف الوظيفي

  • Report to Engineering Shift Leader, performing all assigned tasks regarding Automation Systems health & integrity, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and fast response to equipment Breakdown.
  • Perform all works with the highest safety standards. Take active part in a safety-oriented culture. Exert and support stop work authority. Cooperate with HSSE on risk assessment evaluations and safe work permit forms completion.

 

  • Provide accurate feedback to assigned work orders in CMMS platform, detailing works carried out, materials consumed and relevant status updates for serviced equipment & systems.
  • Accountable for good use of assigned equipment and tools, spare parts and consumables destined for maintenance or repair works. Responsible for returning any parts or materials that are not used during work execution.
  • Collect field process information and provide technical expertise for SOP optimization as per manager’s request.
  • Participate in technical assessment evaluations and internal training events scheduled for the area. Work on building a knowledge base to comply with the expected assessment performance score range.

 

  • Has a proactive mindset to contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions, providing ground-level information and technical expertise to assess equipment breakdown events properly, provide and execute ideas and suggestions to increase the equipment reliability.

 

  • Flexibility on schedule upon unexpected equipment failure events outside assigned work hours, when greater manpower and specialized technical support is required to get asset back online.

 

  • Is willing and open to learn new technologies and skills. Availability to travel for cross-training.
  • Has a teamwork spirit to cooperate and adapt with other colleagues.
  • Has good manners of keeping the working place organized and clean, and always apply 5S to the workshop and tools.
  • Engage on other responsibilities or workstreams as directed by immediate manager or higher-level stakeholders as per corporate needs.


 

المهارات

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automated manufacturing/heavy industries facilities, maintenance works, and breakdown troubleshooting. Previous experience in automated or semi-automated terminals is highly desired.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in PLC, reading programs and troubleshooting automated control systems and all its components (TIA PORTAL software desired). Previous experience in Siemens S7 1500 is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HMI/SCADA systems (Siemens SCADA/WINCC desired as preference) using the software and well understanding of the system components, troubleshooting, and use of graphs/trends for troubleshooting.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Siemens drive systems (SIMOTION/SINAMICS desired as preference), using the software, and well understanding of the system components, troubleshooting, and recovering drives from faulty state.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in CMMS/EAM software) desired using the software and understanding Maintenance & Repair mature process
  • Experience with automation subsystems integrated with equipment (DGPS, TPS, OCR, LCPS, laser sensors, etc.). Previous experience with RCOS “Remote control Operating System” is a plus.

 

  • Able to read the wiring diagrams (control and automation) and process maps/flows professionally, tracing faults and quick diagnosis to reach the root cause quickly and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in calibrating, tuning, and programming field devices
  • Proven experience of working with work order assignment systems.
  • Experience in Safety-oriented culture organizations. Knowledge on use of risk assessment forms. Knowledge of industry fatal risks. Experience of working with safe work permits.
  • Good practices in care of assigned tools, responsible use of consumables and spare parts.
  • Experience in technical log updating and follow-up. Strong on providing detailed technical feedback on equipment status and findings upon maintenance service works completion.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, being capable of suggesting creative and cost-efficient solutions for potential threats to asset health, digital communications, cybersecurity, and sub-standard conditions identified in the equipment. LEAN organization experience is a plus.
  • Deep understanding for industrial communication (Ethernet, CANBUS, PROFIBUS, FIBER-OPTICS, etc.), and troubleshooting methods.

 

  • Strong knowledge of message exchange architecture with operational Terminal Operating Systems and Fleet Management Systems, as well as OCR systems.
  • Respectful approach when communicating and interacting with peers and managers. Team player.

 

  • Industrial Electrical/Electronic certified technician, Mechatronics technician.
  • Training on PLC software programming, Function Blocks, Data Blocks, communication configuration/setup, equipment re-commissioning, I/O tests and signal tracing, and program malfunction troubleshooting. Training in Siemens PLC is a plus.
  • Training on drive systems (SIMOTION/SINAMICS), good understanding of configuration, commissioning, system components, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic Training on TOS, Fleet Management and OCR Systems.
