Job Summary

Support BU for any legal and compliance matters, work collaborately with Corporate Legal team




Roles & Responsibilities
  • Visit customers on regular intervals for payment follow-up and collections
  • Issuance of legal notices, preparing summary of cases, liaising with external lawyers to pursue litigation of all nature.
  • Proactively manage litigation early case assessment and dispute resolution
  • Ability to provide alternatives when there are regulatory policy barriers
  • Proactively ensure compliance in all areas of laws and contractual agreements and have preventive measures in place.
  • Participate, assist and liaise with third parties in matters of conflict and settlement
  • Preparing monthly reports for all legal cases (Court, Police, Overdues, etc.)
  • Drafting, vetting and scrutiny of contracts and agreements, including lease contracts, tenancy agreements, know-how license agreements and trade mark user agreements
  • Conducting legal research as and when required for extending effective and timely advice to the management or the business unit on any legal issue. 
  • Periodically update management on the amendments to the laws and regulations and their impact on IFFCO Group businesses.
  •  Legal expenses: Ensuring effective cost reduction on Legal Service expenses through judicious mix of internal resources/external counsels.
  • External counsels:  Maintain effective relationship with external counsels
     


KPIs
  • Increase the percentage of cases solved/resolved successfully 
  • Improve collections
  • The number of litigation matters closed.
  • The number of transactions handled.
  • The number of contracts reviewed
     


Work experience requirement

Minimum 5 years of experience in the Legal and Secretarial Department in large reputed organizations, including 2 years as a practicing Advocate. 




Qualification

Degree in Law from reputed university and Company Secretary (ACS passed).
