DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL RETURNS
• Proper usage of Handy fuel and cleaning supply to reduce cost.
• Handles operating equipment as per hotel Standard to reduce breakage cost.
• Understands the key profit drivers for department
• Minimizes overtime by efficiently scheduling staff in different shifts
PEOPLE
• Conducts under the guidance of Chief Steward, such functions as employee orientation, coaching, performance appraisal to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity
• Conducts daily briefings to share important information with colleagues of different shifts
• Assists Chief Steward to develop formal training plan and conducts on-the-job training session.
• Role modelling the IHG Company Values and leading employee engagement activities.
GUESTS EXPERIENCE
• Maintains hotel’s cleaning and sanitation check lists updated
• Assists Chief steward to ensure cleanliness of all facilities and equipment being used in restaurants, banqueting, outside catering and kitchen
RESPONSIBLE BUSINES
• Implementation and maintenance of brand standards and standard operating procedures
• Ensuring implementation and compliance of the Company’s Fire, Life and Safety requirements
• Schedule preventive maintenance work and coordinate with engineering
• Performs related duties and special project as assigned by Chief Steward
• Maintains hotel’s cleaning and sanitation check lists as defined in Food & Beverage manual.
ACCOUNTABILITY
• Accountable to train stewards for maintaining high standard of cleanliness
• Follows HACCP standards of kitchen cleaning and sanitation
• Implementation and maintenance of brand standards and standard operating procedures
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• 4 years' experience as a Stewarding supervisor
• Educational qualification – Intermediate of high school graduate
• Computer skills e.g. advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing English, Arabic speaking is an advantage
