The Role of the Housekeeping Asst. Manager
As a Housekeeping Assistant Manager, your role in managing the shift of the housekeeping staff is crucial to ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards. Your expertise in overseeing and coordinating the housekeeping operations will not only contribute to the overall cleanliness of the property but also impact guest satisfaction.
Your responsibilities are to create and maintain a well-organized schedule for your team, making sure that all areas are covered efficiently. This involves assigning specific tasks to each staff member, considering their strengths and skills, as well as considering any special requests or requirements from guests.
To assure that cleanliness standards are met, you should regularly inspect guest rooms and public areas, paying attention to detail and identifying any deficiencies. Whether it's checking for dust or ensuring bathroom fixtures are spotless, your keen eye for cleanliness will help maintain a pristine environment for guests.
Effective communication is essential in managing the shift. By providing clear instructions and expectations to your team members, you empower them to carry out their duties effectively. Addressing any concerns or issues promptly will allow for quick resolution and minimize disruptions in service.

Knowledge and Skills
College degree in hospitality management
3 years’ experience in a related position with Four Seasons or another organization.
Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
Knowledge of the Housekeeping aspect of Four Seasons services, policies or operations and generally learn on-the-job.
Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment.
Ability to read and speak English in a clear manner.
Previous supervisory experience.
