Project Overview:

Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.




Job Summary:

The Asset Manageris responsible to develop, update, maintain, monitor and coordinate the asset management scope of the project. The role will involve coordination with the operations team to ensure that the asset management tool meets their requirements and the requirements of the project. The Asset Manager will coordinate with all necessary project teams to ensure that the data preparation for each scope of work meets the required specifications and is prepared in a timely manor to meet the project objectives. 




Major Responsibilities:
  • Ability to lead the strategy for management of assets, ensuring their efficient utilization, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of asset management strategies to enhance service delivery and support the project long-term objectives.
  • Primary focus on the requirements within the project while coordinating, aligning, engaging, collaborating, and supporting the Customer objectives.
  • Manages Consultants and Contractors in their activities and provides operational support as well as guidance on Task issues.
  • Ensure that the team deliver tasks on time and budget.
  • Prepare tracking and reporting tools for the progress tracking of asset management related deliverables. 
  • Participates in weekly staff meeting and monthly area review meetings to report on project performance and resolution of issues.
  • Requests and manages off-project support when deemed necessary


Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10  years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience




Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing asset management plans and policies including infrastructure, facilities and equipment
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion
  • Strong knowledge and experience with asset management software tools, its implementation and data population
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, adept at interpreting data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize asset performance and maintenance
  • Exhibit leadership abilities with a track record of successfully implementing asset management initiatives and driving organizational change
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in asset data management and reporting
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and budget proposals for senior management and elected officials to support decision-making related to asset investments and maintenance
  • Familiarity with Engineering Design, Construction practices, and Operations & Maintenance activities
