Applications Operations Engineer - Linux
Job Description
Assist in the administration, maintenance, and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in production and development environments. Perform routine system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure the stability and availability of Linux environments. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement new systems, upgrades, and configurations in accordance with business needs. Execute basic system automation tasks using scripts and command-line tools under supervision. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies in RHEL environments. Create and maintain system documentation, including procedures and best practices. Respond to incidents and service requests, troubleshooting system-related issues and escalating to senior team members as needed. Stay updated on the latest Red Hat releases, features, and security updates to ensure systems are up to date.

Technical Skills
• Experience of 1-3 years of experience in administering and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Basic knowledge of Linux system administration, including command-line usage, shell scripting, and system performance monitoring.
• Understanding of networking concepts, file systems, and system security as they relate to Linux environments.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware) and cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
