1. Inspects,
troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, surveys and evaluates metals in aircraft and
support systems equipment to meet requirements for preservation.
2. Eliminates the effects of corrosion deterioration, accomplishes corrosion control, and operates and
maintains aircraft wash racks.
1.Requires
a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in RSAF AFSC 24374 of which one (1) year
must be at the seven (7) level on high performance fighter aircraft.
2. Qualification with self-assessment forms an F-15 Airframe Repair Specialist is mandatory.
3. In
addition, experience in performing or supervising such functions as the fabrication
or the repair of sheet metal/plastic aircraft structural components is
mandatory.
4. A
thorough knowledge of Corrosion Control techniques is mandatory.
5. A 12th grade education with courses in chemistry and physics is desirable.
