Saudi Aramco is seeking an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineering Specialist with a robust background in the oil and gas industry to join the Reservoir Analytical Team of the of the Gas Strategy & Technical Support Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing AI solutions to optimize exploration and production in the gas sector. In addition, the candidate needs to possess a deep understanding of data-driven technologies and have a proven track record in implementing automation and digitalization initiatives that drive efficiency, innovation, and value creation.
• Design and deploy machine learning models to analyze geological data, predict equipment failure, and enhance oil recovery methods.
• Conduct data mining and big data analysis to identify trends and insights that can lead to cost reductions and improved safety measures
• Lead the development and execution of data automation strategies to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making processes.
• Design and implement robust data management systems that ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and digital transformation.
• Develop and oversee the integration of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and AI to optimize production, maintenance, and exploration activities.
• Drive the adoption of digital technologies to enable real-time monitoring and predictive analytics.
•Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data security and privacy.
• Provide expert guidance and support to technical teams in the deployment of digital solutions.
• Stay up-to-date for emerging trends and technologies in data automation and digitalization within the oil/gas sector.
• Conduct data mining and big data analysis to identify trends and insights that can lead to cost reductions and improved safety measures.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders, translating complex AI concepts into actionable business strategies.
• Bachelor of science in petroleum engineering or related discipline from an accredited university, MSc or PhD is desirable, but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data automation and digitalization within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, spotfire).
• Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead complex digital transformation projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
