OverviewConducts necessary maintenance on the AH-64E, following guidelines outlined in the OEM Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and other relevant directives. Removes and installs various aircraft systems and components, services and lubricates systems, prepares for inspections, and performs both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions. Utilizes measuring tools, diagnostic equipment, and special tools for troubleshooting subsystems, performs operational checks, and maintains records, ensuring all maintenance operations are conducted safely. Conducts MNG OJT training as required. Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted safely.
Responsibilities- Ensures that AH-64E Aircraft maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness objectives.
- Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform readiness rates.
- Establishes daily maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated readiness rates and MNG training objectives as required.
- Oversees the daily maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Manager.
- Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
- Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation maintenance of AH-64, UH-60 and other Aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the PC Manager.
- Supervises individuals as assigned.
- Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.
- In coordination with the PC Manager, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) process and procedure.
- Other tasks as directed by the PC Manager.
Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in related field is beneficial.
- Military background with experience in aviation maintenance and logistics.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Recent aircraft mechanic experience.
- A&P licensed.
- Aviation Technical Inspector (TI) experience.
- IA licensed or military certified TI.
- Five (5) years’ maintenance experience on AH-64E aircraft.
- Experience Requirements:
- Three (3) years’ experience as a mechanic on AH-64 series aircraft.
