ADM ERP Functional Specialist

Job Purpose

This role will be initially supporting and then leading implementation of SAP configuration & process optimisation projects for Plant Maintenance, Materials Management.

Influencing the business departments on process optimisation using the latest SAP S4 & Ariba applications.

Execute daily SAP S4 functional support activities related to SAP functional modules. Assist in reviewing, analysing, designing, evaluating, configuring and developing new SAP solutions and integrating with other SAP modules & applications.

The SAP Functional Specialist focuses on SAP S4 Material Management (MM) , Plant Maintenance and integration with Ariba modules.

Play a critical role in influencing and articulating the future business process optimization & improvement using the latest SAP S4 & Ariba applications.

Major Accountabilities

• Lead the Material Management & Plan Maintenance SAP support functions.
• Reporting to the SAP Functional lead (P5).
• Defines the integration design & build, accepts software modules from software developers, and produces software builds for loading onto the target environment.
• Configures the hardware environment, produces integration test specifications, and conducts tests, recording details of any failures and carrying out fault diagnosis.
• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for existing SAP functional configuration.
• Analyse user requirements to create detailed functional design specifications working within established implementation methodologies.
• Develops, supports and maintains KAUST's SAP S4 deployed applications.
• Design functional modules, enhancements and reports in SAP.
• Develop the required functional and administrative documentation for SAP Modules (MM, PM and Ariba).
• Design and document Integration/Communication between various SAP modules.
• Design and document interfaces between SAP and External Systems.
• Works closely with the team on-site to identify and clarify business roles and access requirements to SAP environment.
• Analyses business requirements and develops functional documentation to accompany all application development.

• Develop, modifies, and implements test scripts for complex solutions & business processes.
• Assesses and analyses release components. Provides input to scheduling.
• Carries out the builds and tests in coordination with testers and component specialists, maintaining and administering the tools and methods - manual or automatic - and ensuring, where possible, information exchange with configuration management.
• Ensures release processes and procedures are maintained and configured.
• Assess, analyse, develop documents and implement changes based on change requests.
• Maintain appropriate documentation to reflect SAP module uses and SAP configuration changes within compliance.
• Work for the SAP Technical team to define the need to implement context -based authorizations.
• Establish SAP solutions' go live activities, including ongoing support.
• Maintain application support processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
• Use application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
• Help project team assess the impacts of SAP functional changes on the current implementation.
• Lead and manage business process consultancy & redesign - Critical SAP Material Management (MM) & Plant maintenance (PM) functional configuration, support & business implementation skills - especially in Procurement business processes.

• Documented familiarity with using various oceanographic Instruments, Soldering stations, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter Oscilloscope and other instruments as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree holder, preferably in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline.

Experience

• 5 to 6 years of  SAP ECC & S4 configuration and business process optimization for Material Management & Plant Maintenance.

• SAP certified in at least one SAP module is desirable.
