Welding Inspector

Main Responsibilities:

• Inspecting and assessing the quality of welds and ensuring they meet required specifications and standards
  
• Reviewing welding procedures, codes, and drawings to verify compliance with project requirements
  
• Conducting visual, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant inspections to ensure the integrity of welds
  
• Monitoring welding operations to ensure safety and adherence to procedures
  
• Identifying defects or areas of concern in welding and taking appropriate corrective actions
  
• Preparing inspection reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections
  
• Collaborating with welders and other team members to resolve issues and ensure quality work
  
• Reviewing and approving welding documentation and certificates
  
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
  
• Providing guidance and training to junior welding inspectors and welders on quality standards and techniques
  

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (certification in welding inspection preferred)
  
• Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent)
  
• In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, processes, and materials
  
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, or ISO
  
• Strong understanding of safety regulations in welding operations
