TS Technical Architect - Cloud Platforms

Qatar Airways is looking for highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect for Cloud to join our fast-paced team. As a Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that align with our business goals and technical requirements. You will be responsible for leading the architectural design and technical decisions related to cloud infrastructure and services.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based architectures, frameworks, and solutions that align with the organization's overall business objectives and requirements.
• Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications on the Kubernetes Platforms
• Oversee the integration of cloud solutions with existing systems and applications.
• Lead and mentor cloud engineering and development teams in best practices and cloud architecture principles.
• Conduct performance assessments and recommend optimizations for cloud-based systems.
• Monitor cloud resources to ensure efficient resource utilization and cost management.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud architecture and implementation and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments with Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in building API services (RESTful/SOAP) for exchange of data with other applications.
• Develop code for conducting Proof of Concepts to experiment and learn New Functionality/Technology
• Proven experience working with modern technologies like Redis, API Management, and Service Mesh, Image Registries
• Demonstrative experience in developing and maintaining Terraform (IaC) code for deploying various resources into cloud using continuous release pipelines.

About You

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Sciences /IT management or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 9 years of experience in IT and 6 years job relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge in hybrid multi cloud network connectivity and application micro segmentation.
• Having good exposure to make decisions in moving workloads to cloud using Lift & Shift or Refactoring apps to use cloud-native features and capabilities
• Good knowledge in Azure Well-Architected Framework & Patterns for building and deploying scalable workloads in Azure Cloud: App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Container Instances, AKS
• Good understanding in managing different operational requirements using DevOps, DevSecOps and GitOps practices
• Strong experience in micro-service and reactive programming in Java.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge on Cloud Adoption & Well-Architected Frameworks
• Strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, and DevOps principles.
• Excellent understanding of security, compliance, and best practices for cloud environments.
• Proficiency in cloud automation and orchestration tools.
• Solid programming and scripting skills 
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
