About the Role – Technical Director - Water Primary functions: Lead and contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, contribute to the development of junior staff, preparation of proposals and contribution to the broader business. On projects, the Technical Director is assigned responsibilities for the overview and guidance of an opportunity or project to deliver successful outcomes for the client and GHD. Provide technical inputs to projects. Lead and/or review design of allocated projects under the direction of the project manager, coordinating inputs from various professionals. Project manage allocated projects, coordinating inputs from various professionals. Manage resources at a project level. Develop technical content and undertake technical review of work by others where within area of experience and expertise Provide deliverables to a high-quality standard in line with GHD quality system. Contribute to the development of GHD’s knowledge and skills in industry including strategy, planning, design and construction. Lead and assist in the securing and delivering water / wastewater projects, including preparation of proposals. Assist in the promotion of GHD’s strategy, business ethics and values, internally and externally.Key accountabilities: Completion of roles on various projects across strategy, planning and design. Lead and coordinate multi-discipline teams to ensure high quality deliverables that are on time and on budget for the completion of projects. Liaise with clients and subconsultants as necessary to ensure successful completion of projects. Preparation of proposals as required. Develop technical and personal skills through participation in “on the job” and formal training and development opportunities in various phases of office and field work.
