Job Description

Role purpose:

The Technical Coordinator serves as a key facilitator and expert in ensuring the seamless integration of all technical aspects (Products) within the supply chain and other relevant diversification strategies of the organization.

The primary purpose of the role is to enhance efficiency conformity, customer satisfaction, and product quality by providing comprehensive technical support to Internal Team members, Customers, and collaborating with other Business Partners manufacturers, principals and technical service providers.

This role involves a combination of product knowledge, technical consultation, and collaboration to ensure the effective distribution qualifications and application of all the products offered by the company. The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring offerings are based on relevant standards, ultimately contributing to the company’s success in the competitive industry.

Key accountabilities:

1. Product Knowledge: a. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding4 of the products5 distributed by the company and inquired by customers considering compatibility and application. b. Keep abreast of product specifications, applications, and industry standards. c. Provide ongoing training to internal teams, including sales and customer service, to enhance their product knowledge and help them win the trust of customers on the products offered.

1 Supply Chain – inbound and outbound of the products 2 Diversification Strategies – Research and Technical analysis on new products 3 Efficiency - The Identified Value Proposition of the company is the strong technical support provided pre and post sales 4 Understanding – Technical Point of View – Mechanical & Chemical Properties 5 Products – Fasteners & Fixings

 

2. Technical Consultation:

a. Lead as the Technical point of contact for customers and the internal team, assisting them in selecting the right fasteners for their specific needs. Take ownership of any technical queries that customers or peers may have pertaining to the products offered by the company.

b. Collaborate with the sales team to offer technical insights during customer interactions and pre-qualifications. Understand the sales funnel and taking lead in specifying the products offered by initiating Material Submittal Documents.

c. Address technical inquiries and concerns, providing solutions7 and recommendations in the most professional manner.

3. Installation Support: a. Offer technical assistance to customers during the installation of fasteners and fixings as and when required. b. Collaborate with field teams and contractors to ensure proper installation procedures are followed. c. Conduct on-site visits or inspections to troubleshoot technical issues related to any products supplied or concerns raised by customers.

4. Liaising Technical Support: a. Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to access up-to-date technical information. b. Coordinate with external technical support 8teams and service providers as and when necessary to resolve complex customer issues. c. Facilitate communication between the company and external technical support entities.

5. Training and Workshops:

a. Develop and conduct training sessions for internal staff and customers on the technical aspects of the products offered.

b. Organize workshops to educate customers on the proper handling, usage, and maintenance of fasteners in coordination with the Business Development Executive.

c. Collaborate with suppliers to organize joint training programs for mutual benefit.

6. Collaboration: a. Working closely with the Sales Team with a customer service appoach to ensure a seamless coordination of technical aspects. b. Collaborate with the Purchase Department on queries related to the technical aspects with the suppliers and manufacturers towards resolving any issues efficiently. c. Foster a culture of teamwork and open communication to enhance overall operational effectiveness with the clear understanding about the role in the organization. d. Have a clear communication to the peers on the estimated time of completing any assigned tasks that would help them provide necessary information to the clients.

7. Documentation a. Maintain and organize accurate, traceable and up-to date documentation of Technical Data & Specifications, articles

about products and method statements. b. Create and update technical manuals, guides and documentation for internal use and customer reference.

6 Customers – Engineers, Architects, Technical Personnel, QA/QC Personnel, Project Managers 7 Solutions – aligning the specifications towards - Installation techniques, torque specifications, load capacities, Structural integrity, corrosion resistance properties 8 External Technical Support – Technical personnel of the Manufacturers and Principal

c. Upon receipt of materials in the inventory, in coordination with the Purchase Department retrieve and record the traceable Test Certificates. Validate the data on such certificates and provide them as and when requests arise from the Sales Department.

d. Ensure that relevant technical documentation is readily available as and when required for internal teams and customers.

e. It is important to maintain certain level of confidentiality on these documents and it is the responsibility of the Technical Coordinator to verify and authenticate the requests accordingly.

8. Quality Assurance: a. Implement and monitor quality assurance process for fasteners from both purchase and sales process perspective. b. Conduct regular quality audits9 (tests/measurements/visual appearance) to ensure compliance with industry

standards. c. Collaborate with the Purchase and Quality control team address any deviations and implement corrective actions.

9. Market Intelligence

a. Gather and analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences. b. Provide insights on market dynamics based on the various technical inquiries 10and keep the Procurement and Inventory in making informed decisions. c. Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry standards affecting the current stocks and future purchases.

10. Customer Relationship Management

a. While working on technical inquiries build and maintain strong relationship with customers improvising their confidence on the company and meeting their requirements.

b. Proactively address customer concerns and feedback related to their technical inquiries. c. Collaborate with sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross selling based on technical needs.

11. Inventory Management Support:

a. Work closely with the inventory management team to ensure the availability of the right fasteners based on technical specifications. b. Conduct periodic visits to the warehouse upon incidental situations related to any rejections and non-conformity. c. Maintain and develop procedures in coordination with the Inventory Controller and QA/QC for analyzing all inward and outward movements of materials.
