The opportunity
We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher specialising in teaching Physics to IGCSE and A Level students and KS3 Science.
This would be a fixed-term appointment from January to June 2025.
The Science Department at Doha College is the largest in the school. Lessons are taught in 18 purpose-built laboratories. The College follows a balanced Science programme at Key Stage 3, in line with the English National Curriculum. At Key Stage 4, students opt for Edexcel IGCSE separate Sciences. At AS and A Level, students opt for Edexcel Pearson’s IAL Physics. At all stages, the College achieves excellent academic success.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards students receive iPads upon joining the school, whilst teachers receive both an iPad and laptop.

To be successful, you will be an outstanding role model within the Department and within the College as a whole. You should have demonstrated success in your current role, be a highly motivated and successful practitioner and, above all else, have a real passion for the subject. You should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including extra-curricular activities.
We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is, therefore, essential.
This is a non-sponsored role, and only candidates currently residing in Qatar with a valid residence permit will be considered.
